Verse 1:
Problems are mounting, 100 and counting
Existing to buy, sell, use, or breed.
I don’t know the way to paint this dismay in light of what I really need.
So, I'll scale this wall and probably fall into a pit of “used to be.”
I think this is it. I’m throwing a fit, And there goes caution to the breeze.
Chorus:
Pain and greed,
Pain and greed
DreamEater is here to feed.
Run and Hide,
Run and hide.
DreamEater sees your lies.
Verse 2;
Now I’ll slowly succumb to things left undone.
Trapped by pleasure that used to be fun.
I’ll smoke and I’ll drink, throw up in the sink, time unsettles those who think.
Just give me it all, I’ll thrash and I’ll maul, the farce of the pride left after the fall.
It might be ok, but it won’t be today.
Fuck what you know, dreams get out of my way.
Chorus 2, 3:
Pain and greed
Pain and greed
DreamEater's here to feed.
Run and Hide
Run and hide DreamEater sees your lies.

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
