All the whiskey and cocaine won’t change the mess we made.
You’re the reason I’m to blame.
There's this feeling I can’t shake what life has made of me,
But it’s what I know and change is scary.
Lines are blurry, brain is numb, don’t look at me
When you’re not sure who you are.
It’s all the same, who gives a shit,
What a pity, it must be to feel that way.
So fuckin' boring and afraid.
Lay in the shit that you create,
For a change.
Cause it’s all about you
Chorus 1:
About you
About you.
It’s all about...
Verse 2:
Paint a picture, I can taste smell the ecstasy.
All the subtly is gone anyway.
You draw the lines upon my face
And god it’s killing me!
Soft and slow the way you like...
You wanna feel it getting close, don’t you lie to me!
Let's scratch that itch and have some fun along the way,
But all the whiskey and cocaine,
And the cigarettes and shame
Won’t change a thing about you.
Chorus 2:
About you
About you.
It’s all about...
Bridge:
Go 'head and hammer in the screw.
It’s your perspective, Not the truth!
If only you knew
It’s not always about you.

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points.
This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
